東京・亀戸に存在したセイコーの時計工場「第二精工舎」で1961年に誕生し、1960年代後半から1970年代にかけて、国産機械式腕時計の発展を牽引したブランド、キングセイコー。当時の工場の近くに佇む、1662年創建の亀戸天神社にある藤棚咲く無数の花々をイメージした立体的な新しい型打模様に柔らかな薄紫色のグラデーションを重ねたダイヤルが特徴です。

Born in 1961 at the Daini Seikosha Factory that existed in Kameido, Tokyo, King Seiko led to the advancement of domestic mechanical watches in the late 1960s to 1970s. This model features a dial with soft pale violet gradation applied to a new stereoscopic stamping pattern inspired by the myriad of flowers blooming on the wisteria trellis at Kameido Tenjin Shrine, which was founded in 1662, near the former factory.
