The one-of-a-kind design is inspired by a classic King Seiko from the late ’60s.
Taking advantage of one of the automatic Caliber 6L35’s greatest strengths, its remarkable slimness, this dress watch is as comfortable to wear as the original that inspired it.

King Seiko 45KCM

King Seiko 45KCM launched in 1969
This new series is based on the King Seiko 45KCM from 1969, whose characteristically curved silhouette inspired the design of other King Seiko creations that followed.

Design

Case

The new King Seiko series adopts the contours of the 1969 watch but reimagines them for modern times with a rounded, box-shaped glass. Thanks to Seiko’s modern watch manufacturing techniques and the slimline Caliber 6L35, the watches achieve a svelte and comfortable thickness of 9.9mm.

Hands & Indexes

The multi-faceted index at twelve o’clock is designed with a pattern that evokes the feather fletching of an arrow, a feature familiar from traditional Japanese archery and a fitting detail for a watch that will glide under shirtsleeves. The hour and minute hands are cut on three sides, and they mark the time with a powerful radiance and a certainty toward the future.

Bracelet

The watches feature a new multi-row bracelet with mirror-polishing and brushed finishing to achieve a quiet sparkle when it reflects light.

Case back

The King Seiko “shield” returns, and the iconic silhouette of the original has been retained, though it has been flattened and modernized. The case back has been engraved.
