This elegant enamel-dialed wristwatch pays homage to one of Seiko’s most important early creations – the company’s very first pocket watch, the Timekeeper of 1895.
A lustrous white enamel dial creates a striking contrast with the thick black Roman numerals and blued hands, resulting in a design that is at once timeless and easy to read at a glance.
A black cowhide strap made from leather certified by the Leather Working Group* accentuates the classic beauty of the white enamel dial and stainless steel case.
*The Leather Working Group (LWG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to responsibly made, sustainable leather production. Since 2005, LWG has designed standards to certify all actors in the supply chain.
Enamel Craftsman: Mitsuru Yokosawa
For almost half a century, Mitsuru Yokosawa has been expanding the boundaries of enamel, mastering time-honored techniques and gradually creating new ones. As his experience broadened, the layers of enamel he was able to apply became thinner and thinner. He is now able to apply a flawless enamel coat just 0.1 mm thin. Such precision requires not only exceptional visual acuity, but also the seemingly magical ability to make minute adjustments to the enamel composition based on fluctuations in humidity and weather conditions. Aptly, it would take the skills of a magician to create the face of the new Seiko Presage.

- This enamel watch dial is manufactured by firing it at a high temperature. The process of melting enamel may create small dimples, tiny dots, and a rough surface. These attributes are unique features of genuine enamel watch dials, of which no two are exactly alike.
