Seiko 5 Sports MOONEYES Limited Edition

MOONEYES
In 1950, Dean MOON, the founder of MOONEYES, started a brand (MOON Equipment Company, later
MOONEYES) in Southern California, U.S.A., to produce and sell parts for race cars.
Shige Suganuma started MOON OF JAPAN in 1986, and after the capital shift to Japan, the company has
continued to sell parts and hold American cultural events in Japan and abroad as an evangelist of hot rod
culture. Hot rod culture originated in the U.S.A. and refers to a style of customizing vehicles to make them
go faster.

The dial boldly incorporates yellow, the symbolic color of MOONEYES. The logo mark, printed transparently on the entire surface of the dial, is designed with a sense of playfulness.
The bezel, with a design derived from car racing, is printed from the back side of the transparent acrylic material to create a glossy finish similar to clear automotive paint.

The case back is decorated with an eye-catching logo mark, and the movement can be seen through the translucent yellow glass.
For those who enjoy customizing their watches, a yellow and black striped nylon strap with the MOONEYES logo is included.

The box is specially designed to resemble a garage. The outside the box has an uneven patterned surface like a shipping container, and the lid opens to reveal a yellow inner box.
