Seiko presents the first Astron GPS Solar watch
to combine Dual-Time technology with a chronograph function.
With chronograph timing to 1/20th of a second,
the new Calibre 5X83 boasts the highest performance in Astron's history.

The new watch features a sub-dial at 12 o'clock that measures elapsed time in increments of 1/20th of a second.
The time of day displayed on the main dial can be switched with the one on the six o'clock sub-dial by holding down two buttons for three seconds. The main dial and sub-dial hands move simultaneously, making the time required for the transfer significantly shorter with the new Calibre 5X83 than with Calibre 5X53.
The new movement's enhanced energy-charging efficiency allows the main dial and sub-dials to have contrasting colours and textures.
Thanks to the new movement design, this is the first Seiko Astron to have a sub-dial at the 12 o'clock position and allows the main dial and sub-dials to have contrasting colours and textures, creating a more dynamic and sporty presence.
The watches feature a two-part bezel that includes an upper part in ceramic and a titanium frame. The bezel is marked with the word "CHRONOGRAPH" along with Arabic numerals.
The hour, minute, and seconds hands, in addition to the three-dimensional indexes, are all filled with Lumibrite, enhancing legibility in low-light conditions.
Thanks to the low centre of gravity of the titanium case and the dual-curved sapphire crystal glass with super-clear coating, the watches ensure high levels of comfort and legibility.
The buckle adjustment system allows the bracelet to be easily adjusted with a single push when the size fluctuates due to changes in temperature.

A new buckle adjustment system allows you to make, at the touch of a button, the minor adjustments to the length of the bracelet that are so important when temperature or other changes make the wrist expand or contract.
Since the beginning of Seiko in 1881, the company has continued to innovate in line with founder Kintaro Hattori's philosophy to be "Always one step ahead of the rest." In 1924, the company introduced the first wristwatch with "Seiko" on the dial, signifying the beginning of the Seiko brand. The year 2024 marks the 100th anniversary of this landmark event.
Seiko Astron introduces a limited-edition model with beautiful pink gold-coloured accents to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Seiko brand. As it celebrates this milestone anniversary, Seiko will continue to pursue innovation in the years to come.
A black gradation dial with a radial pattern and pink gold-coloured accents expresses the glittering brilliance that emerges from the darkness of space.
The bezel is designed to shine even more brilliantly by combining a smooth black ceramic bezel with a polygonal titanium decorative rim in a two-body structure. The central row of the bracelet and the tip of the crown are also made of ceramic to create a glossy luster.
The case back features an original, three-dimensional mark in the shape of the Earth, symbolising the GPS solar function that receives radio signals from four satellites and accurate time anywhere in the world. The words "Limited Edition" and the individual watch's number (0001/1200-1200/1200) are also inscribed on the case back.

The all-black case and bracelet, sunray-patterned dial, and yellow-gold-coloured accents evoke a view of the earth at night as seen from an orbiting satellite, an image that perfectly channels the groundbreaking technology behind Astron GPS Solar.
The two-part bezel consists of a multi-faceted ceramic upper portion and a yellow-gold-coloured titanium frame to create a brilliance that further evokes this shimmering night view.
The bracelet's centre links and the tip of the crown are created with ceramic that has a glossy surface, while the outer links are made of titanium with a black super-hard coating.
The yellow-gold-coloured case back carries company founder Kintaro Hattori's name and the trademark "S" that he registered in 1900 as a symbol of the Seikosha factory. Just above the trademark appears the phrase that so aptly captured his philosophy for the company.
The words "Limited Edition" and the individual watch's serial number (0001/1000-1000/1000) are also inscribed on the case back.
