In 1985, the IAAF invited SEIKO to be its timing partner for all its major international athletics championships. SEIKO has provided timing systems and personnel to no less than 10 World Championships, 5 Indoor Championships and many other international class events. At major championships, SEIKO’s team will comprise over 40 skilled and full time engineers.

The Beijing Marathon celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. It is the longest established marathon in China and attracts the largest numbers of runners. SEIKO was the official timer of the first event in 1981, and we are proud to time this important event once again.

The Shanghai EXPO is attracting world attention, and the Shanghai marathon routes pass through the landmarks of this cosmopolitan city. SEIKO is the proud official timer of this increasingly popular event.

35,000 runners participate in the Tokyo Marathon, and it has become the most popular marathon race in Japan.
SEIKO has been the official timer since its first race in 2007 and will time it again this year.
